based in india sakay™ was established in the year 1965, as a sporting goods manufacturing and exporting firm, specialising in manufacturing soccer balls(footballs), volley balls, rugby balls, leather balls and bladders. from last 2 decades sakay has been one of the leading inflatable balls manufacturing company from india.
with a production facility built in area of 15,000 square meters, sakay has the ability to manufacture 15,000(fifteen thousand) balls per day, including in-house manufacturing facility for machine stitched balls, bladder and some hand stitched balls.
meeting the highest standards sakay has attained iso 9001:2008 and bsci (business social compliance initiative) certifications and is member of world federation of sporting goods industry(wfsgi) and sports goods foundation of india (sgfi).
sakay has 100% child labour free production, and to assure it, it has registered 100% of its stitching centres including stitchers identity with sgfi for monitoring and ensuring no use of child labour takes place, sakay has also appointed special supervisors for monitoring of stitching centres alongside monitoring through sgfi.
sakay extremely prohibits use of forced labour in the factory and has a free and equal policy for employing and employed workers, all the workers are provided with the minimum wage and benefits framed by the government of india which is regularly updated as per the law of india and the same is given to workers.
for the health and safety of all the workers, each and every worker is given fire rescue training and fire fighting training free of any charge, the company has allotted special zones to protect from earthquake or fire and the workers are trained to protect themselves and reach these allotted areas, factory building is fully equipped with fire alarms and fire fighting equipments for the security of workers. each worker is provided first aid facilities when needed, by the trained persons.
